| Log Cabin
The most beloved of traditional patterns, the Log Cabin
gets its name from its method of construction which begins
with a central square, often in a warm tone to symbolize
the hearth. Around each side of the "hearth"
is sewn a strip or "log". Subsequent strips
are added, each perpendicular to the previous, until the
block reaches the desired size. We piece the blocks together
in Barn Raisin' design except when we make twin sizes
which are the Furrows pattern. Read
